Chief Saul Terry: message

A brief word of appreciation for the confidence an mandate to address the many issues which affect all of us in Xwisten and within our St'át'imc land.  These matters cover may areas of our land and resources including unemployment; trades training, post secondary; education, health, social services and many more. These matters we need to discuss and we, the elected Council would like to encourage  you to attend our regular monthly meetings to share your ideas.
As Chief I will be into the office regularly; I thank you and commit to serve and represent you well over the next 2 years.

This Year’s Election Day was October 24th, 2011 in the Health Boardroom from 9 AM to 8 PM. 
  Congrats to new Leadership!  The term for Chief and Council is every two years. 

Councilor Gerald Michel:

Lands-Forestry: e.g. Ainsworth Engineered Ltd, BC Timber Sales, and other areas.
Emergency Planning/Management: in various areas including Mountain Pine Beetle- Forest Fuel Management Plan
Fisheries: Northern St'át'imc Fisheries, Representative Joint Fisheries Technical Committee and other areas.
